Task: Define the project scope and in doing so identify key areas or points for success, identify deliverables and establish sign-off and checking processes.
The definition stage is established to create a technical and creative brief. Based on the findings of previous work in the Discovery phase, the briefing documents produced will set out the creative direction and deliverables as well as the technical operation scope. These briefing documents are written for the artists and developers to give clearer focus to the project. Through writing these briefs the project manager has an opportunity to gain a greater insight into the final project.
Deliverables: Written project briefing for creative and technical requirements along with a clear description of business and operational aims of the project. These are used alongside the original client brief.
